Nothing Square about this Window
April 1. New month, new season.
Windows. I love how there is nothing quite square about this window. Back in the 1800s I suppose they didn’t have to use rulers and squares when they were building their stone buildings. Eying it might have been good enough. I like that. I like its odd bit of crookedness.
Eyes OR Lips?
Saw this “face” while I was walking around an abandoned warehouse tucked back in one of Madison’s out of the way spots. In addition to these, there were also stencils of purple cat faces and purple camels –dozens of them–and a striking portrait of William Tell with a bright red apple on top of his head.
Lots of graffiti art.
Colorful Brick Wall Begs for a Photo!
The caption on this photograph sounds like something one would read in The Onion. “Wall Begs for Photo.”
I can imagine in the future, this wall will be a popular photo stop because it has the ability to beg, “Please, please, I know i’m just a brick wall, but I’m a painted brick wall. Prettily painted, too. Please, take MY picture!”
“Sure, why not? I’ll take your photograph. Don’t move while I set up my equipment!”

I’ve had this photo in my stash since April, just waiting for Election Day. Well, the day is finally here, so go on.
